Biography
Kevin was born in Olympia, WA where he was raised by two family law attorneys. He attended Ripon College in Ripon, WI where he earned his bachelor's degree in psychology with a Minor in Business Administration. In college, Kevin was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, wrote for the college newspaper, and worked for the Office of Conference and Contract Services.
Kevin then attended Willamette University College of Law where he worked for the Law and Government Legal Clinic, then the Family Law Legal Clinic. As part of the Family Law Legal Clinic, Kevin was able to get his first experience representing parties in custody disputes, and he worked with a team of other students to develop a training program for those volunteering with CASA of Marion County.
In 2014, Kevin returned to Thurston County, WA and had the privilege of practicing family law with his parents for more than a decade. He has experience representing parties in all family law and Civil Protection Order matters and has also accepted dozens of court appointments to represent children who have been removed from abusive or neglectful households pursuant to Dependency or Minor Guardianship proceedings.
Kevin has experience volunteering with the family law legal clinic through Thurston County Volunteer Legal Services. He has been named to the Washington State Bar Association's Pro Bono Publico Honor Roll for each of the last ten years and was selected by his peers as a Rising Star Attorney through Washington's Super Lawyers every year between 2018 and 2026.
Kevin is thrilled to join the Law Office of Sophia M. Palmer and to continue serving clients with family law needs in Thurston County.
When not working, Kevin enjoys traveling, hiking, watching the Mariners, and spending time with his partner and their two children.
